Indications/Uses
Dietary management of patients w/ or at risk of malnutrition, in particular w/ chronic kidney disease or noncatabolic forms of acute kidney injury.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Supplementary nutrition 2-3 bottles/day. Complete nutrition ≥5 bottles/day.
Contraindications
Not suitable whenever enteral nutrition is not permitted eg, acute GI bleeding, ileus & shock. Patients w/ congenital inability to metabolise nutrients contained in Fresubin Renal.
Special Precautions
Not for parenteral (IV) use. Monitor feeding rate when used for tube feeding. Not suitable for infants <3 yr & patients w/ galactosaemia. Ensure adequate fluid intake.
